Authorities are investigating a deadly incident in Piscataway that left four people dead, including a suspect who was fatally shot by police after allegedly attacking family members with a machete.

According to preliminary information released by police, officers were dispatched to a residence following reports of a violent disturbance. Upon entering the home, officers discovered three deceased individuals. Two of the victims are believed to have been the suspect’s grandparents.
